We source, stock and fit all leading brands of car, van, 4×4 and high performance tyres. We can often offer an efficient same-day tyre fitting service on many models so you don’t have to worry about the inconvenience of being left without a vehicle.
Repairing your tyres can be a low cost alternative to buying new ones. When doing this however, you want to feel confident that your vehicle is safe and roadworthy. When you book our tyre repair service, you can be rest assured that W.Carey is covered by British Standard BSAU159. What’s more, we always try to carry out a tyre repair before suggesting a new tyre. Please bear in mind however that a puncture repair isn’t always the best or safest solution so this may not always be possible.
TYRES WEARING UNEVENLY?
If your wheels are not aligned correctly, it can affect the wear of the tyres, fuel economy and more importantly, how effective your car breaks.
If your tyres are wearing unevenly, we can check the cause for FREE with our four wheel alignment service. We then offer advice on the best way to resolve the problem and whether or not you need a tyre replacement.
Car enthusiasts understand the value of maintaining the condition of their tyres and the importance of choosing the right manufacturer. Regularly checking tyre pressure and not over‐inflating or under‐inflating the tyres are both important steps in maintaining the safety of your vehicle.
Tyre tread is also important to keep an eye on, but it’s often overlooked. The deeper the tread depth, the more grip your tyres will have. Don’t let your tread depths wear down to the raised rubber strips at the bottom of the main tread grooves, as this indicates that there is only 1.6 mm of tread remaining. According to the law, tyres should have a minimum of 1.6 mm of tread across the centre three‐quarters of the tyre.
If you would like to book your vehicle in for a tyre fitting, please don’t hesitate to get in touch today.
